Executive Branch

executive branch

College Council's executive branch oversees the day-to-day functions of the Council as directed by the legislative branch. Overseen by a President and a Vice President, the executive branch charters hundreds of student organizations, organizes meaningful programming, and provides a variety of services to the student body.

Office of Communications

The Office of Communications strives to promote internal communications and ensure transparency within the organization. We also aim to inform the entire Emory community of College Council initiatives, legislation and events.

Office of Finance

The Office of Finance is responsible for overseeing the internal finances of the College Council. It ensures that student activity fee funds are responsibly managed by determining the overall budget of the College Council.

Office of Organization Audits

The Office of Organization Audits is responsible for overseeing the usage of student activity fee funds by student organizations. It is directly responsible for ensuring that funds are used responsibly in order to best serve the student body.

Office of Organization Budgets

The Office of Organization Budgets is responsible for funding the vast majority of student organizations at Emory University. Through College Council's Monetary Policy, the office ensures that funds are allocated equitably and responsibly as directed by elected representatives in the legislature.

Office of Organization Management

The Office of Organization Management charters the vast majority of undergraduate student organizations at Emory University, governing organizations whose membership is primarily in Emory College or whose mission aligns with the mission and academic focus of Emory College. Over 200 organizations are managed by this office.

Office of Programming

The Office of Programming creates meaningful programming for the entire Emory community. Following the direction of “programming with a purpose,” these include events such as Social Justice Week, CultureShock, and any other events planned by the Council. Often, the Council partners on events like Wonderful Wednesday. The vision for College Council’s intentional and meaningful programming includes events that connect student organizations by providing an accessible platform for them to communicate their message and goals.
